Caroline Leng

I nominate my mum not for selfish reasons, but because I feel she is extremely worthy of carrying the Olympic torch. In 2012 my mum retires after 30 plus years of teaching generations of children Physical Education. She started teaching in the mid to late 1970s at Hope Park Girls School, Prestwich which later became Prestwich High School, and now Prestwich Arts College. She has inspired a multitude of girls when it comes to games and PE. When it comes to sporting success she has outshone all other PE teachers with her long list of victories in netball. This success led to her being called up to coach at county level for a long spell. She also has great expertise and success when it comes to rounders and trampolining. All of the girls who have been coached by my mum will tell you how inspirational and caring she is. This year she has also been nominated in Bury for `Unsung Sports hero`
