Carlton Dixon

He has been a mentor to several teenagers when the call went out to find black male role models. He also became a governor at a local school that was in special measures when he joined. Even though other more prestigious schools asked him to join them he chose a particular school because of the abundance of working class and black students and he wanted to try and help make a difference. By the time he left the school it went from strength to strength and is no longer the school no one wants to send their children to. He did this despite not having any children of his own. He is also the major role model in his three nephew's lives.
