Fernando Goldberg

I would like to nominate International Cabin Crew member and Fernando for this opportunity from Sao Paulo base.

Fernando is an experienced well-regarded member of our community in Brazil and a shining star in my team.

Fernando is Brazilian and has flown for BA for many years. Like the rock in our brand campaign if you cut him through the middle he would show British Airways and also Rio.

He so very proud of our airline and our business and time after time has gone the extra mile for our customers giving up his own time to help the business, such as acting as CSD for our special flight in Sao Paulo in April where we took 237 disadvantaged children to the skies or agreeing to operate a flight RIO - LHR during his days off on a route he does not normally operate to prevent the cancellation and disruption of hundreds of customers.

He is proud Carioca (from Rio De Janeiro) through and through and a great ambassador for the city, which he absolutely loves - if Rio ever needed someone to promote it I believe Fernando, would be at the front of the list.

I think Fernando would be a great ambassador for British Airways carrying the Olympic Flame and as we are handing over the Olympics to his home city Rio I think this would have additional weight and meaning with the link between the two cities of London and Rio for London 2012 and Rio 2016.
