Carl's nomination story

Carl is just a normal boy who has a passion for sport. He began orienteering at his school approx 4 years ago. Since then he has gone on to compete in the world championships as part of the great britain team and also the England squad. He is a very down to earth young man who never seeks praise and is always willing to help others. Before leaving school last year he was an ambassodor for sport at his local school visiting other schools and talking to children to express the benifits sports can make to life. He has worked tremendously hard to achieve his place in the squad and managed to get seven A stars in his GCSE's last year wilst training and competing every weekend. This has led to him getting an apprentership in BAE Systems as a technical designer. He is a role model to both young and old and would be the proudest young man in the world if he was to carry the Olympic torch.
