Cameron's nomination story

Cameron is a selfless, determined, genuine, lionhearted friend who in my opinion and those around him is an inspiration to all. He is one of around 9000 people in the UK that suffers with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food. Despite this, in a bid to raise over £10,000 for the CF Trust, a charity that has given him so much support, Cameron has completed some of the hardest endurance events in Europe, dragging many of his friends along with him on the journey. The Ben Nevis Triathlon, Lochalsh Ultra Marathon, Lands End to John O' Groats on the Bike, Loch Ness Marathon, Caledonian ETAPE and Loch Ness marathon are just a few of these events he has completed. His aim has always been to support the charity however he can and along the way inspire those unfortunate enough to have CF (and those that don`t) that life is `not a rehearsal`, CF does not have to limit your life or ambition and that you can succeed in anything you put your mind to. As well as being a successful Associate Investment Director with Williams De Broe in Edinburgh, Cameron would I`m sure see one of his biggest achievements in life as becoming a dad (overcoming fertility problems caused by CF) for the first time in June. A measure of the man was the amount of people contacting me asking who was going to nominate him. I doubt we`ll be the last to.
