Chancy Macleod

Calum Macleod, school janitor at Laxdale School Lewis, is diabetic and was devastated when his daughter Mairi was also diagnosed with diabetes.He ran the London Marathon for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Through amazing efforts- whole school sponsored walk, staff 80s Night, 80s disco, curry take away, bag packing and sponsorship - he raised the amazing total of over £22 000. He is the most worthy person to carry the Olympic Torch!
