Callum's nomination story

Callum was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (primary bone cancer) on his 14th birthday. Since then he has gone through chemo, limb salvage, intensive phsyio. Callum since being diagnosed has been raising money and awareness about his condition. He was misdiagnosed and wanted to stop others. He raises money into research into this horrid disease for the Bone cancer resaerch trust. Callum has held many events even getting famous people to help him. He also got the then health sec Andy Burnham to help him on his charity events. Callum is now in remission but continues to raise money,. He is now 16 years old. He now plays for Lancashire cricket diasabled team proving there is life after cancer. He also fought for a new drug at NICE this as you can imagine is a scary thing for a older person never mind a 16year old. He faced the panel and tiold them why this drug mepact should be available. He has attended twice. We are all very very proud of him. He is a true hero..who deserves a little back this is why i would like him to carry the torch...i am a very proud aunty..Callum also helps and supports another girl who has just been diagnosed with Osteo..He is also going to be a insparation story at BCRT conference...
