Caitlin Simon

Caitlin is part of the backbone of Alnwick Triathlon Club, volunteering in many roles since joining. She helps at training sessions and assists at events. She has performed many voluntary roles such as registration, marshalling, results and aid stations.

Caitlin is a valued and respected coach, leading the weekly beginners' open water session as part of the coaching team. Her ability with novice triathletes is incomparable; balanced, encouraging coaching to ensure new entrants feel comfortable. She excels at coaching on a 1:2:1 basis but can also lead a group.

She helped organise a women's only triathlon for first timers and persuaded many to enter. She is a role model for the club and motivates others to become involved; she has encouraged several school friends to volunteer at various events. She is always willing to help and has successfully balanced her education and voluntary work with positive results in both.
