When Bronwen was told about the chance to be an Olympic Torch Bearer her face lit up, she was so excited at the prospect, I knew then I had to nominate her! She is a remarkable young lady and a credit to her community. Bronwen was appointed one of the Welsh Government's Climate Change Champions for 2011 and has a role to play in Wales, raising awareness of the actions people can take to reduce their carbon footprint, speaking to friends, family, groups and businesses. She is often found quoting'A person cannot do everything, but everybody can do something' She has many hobbiesand achieved a lot. She has been on stage for 10 years and has been in the Guiding association since she was 5, She loves kayaking and play the drum kit. She has been given an award for contribution to school and community, has been public speaking with Young Farmers for the past 3 years and in that time has represented not only Bedwas Young Farmers but the whole of Wales. She has always tried to help her community, She wrote a letter to the council about the lack of bins and dog mess bins and many have now been placed in her local area of Cwm. She has just today informed me she has been given the role and responsibility of Head Girl at her school and truly deserves a chance to carry the torch for her community and country.
