Brittany Ellis

Brittany is a year 7 student who has set a real example to her peer group at school. Her enthusiasm for sport has been outstanding both in and out of school. She captains the school Netball and football teams and has also played for teams above her age range including Hockey and Football. She is also a member of her year council. Brittany has been involved in junior football since the age of 8 years old and has had to overcome some of the usual prejudices of being a girl in a boy dominated sport. At times unkind comments were made to her about the fact that she is a tall girl but she showed great courage and resolve to carry on. This has resulted in her being selected for Peterborough United Girls Academy and being nominated for Peterborough Evening telegraph Junior sportwomen of the year award.
