Bridget James

Bridget has always been the sort of person to take challenges in her stride. However, following the early birth of her first daughter with congenital heart problems, and long months away from home, camped at her bedside, Bridget and her husband turned their commitment towards creating a year-long appeal to raise funding for the four charity teams who helped them through this dark period. With an ambitious target of £8044 (4x2011) Bridget has inspired the support of people to run marathons, climb mountains, cycle across nations, pack shopping , shake buckets and just give. Less than half way through the appeal the target has already been smashed 3 times over. Everyone touched by the appeal shares Bridget's passion, the improving health and wellbeing of her daughter. Bridget brings out the best in people and when they see her with the torch they'll be able to say without doubt that her passion is like the flame - carried forward on hope and courage and tenacity and will be able to say - Go on Bridget - we're with you too.
