Brian's nomination story

In May Brian persuaded a dozen colleagues to raise money for Helen Douglas house, a hospice, providing end of life care for children and young adults by walking from Big Ben to Brighton pier. With varying degrees of age/fitness Brian took on a tall order. His planning, support and motivation was magnificent but also his insistence in raising the collective target on an almost daily basis meant the original target of £2,000 ended in excess of £10,000. The walk was amazing, it was tough, filled with highs and lows but most importantly incredible team spirit all created by Brian. His insistence in supporting strugglers, the entire team crossing the finish line together, no losers or winners just one team with the aim to raise as much money as possible, our families to cheer us on across the finish line and finally a hospice visit to experience first hand their amazing work.HIs new goal is to raise a further staggering £100,000 and I have no doubts that he will both achieve and exceed this. He is an inspirational ambassador for BA.
