Bill's nomination story

Bill has inspired not just me but many others to help raise money for East Anglian Air Ambulance. He personally has sky dived twice and raised over £12,000. His first jump was at the ripe old age of 80. This had a knock on effect that encouraged his son and grandson of 16 years of age to both raise money on various occasions - one making and selling soup in the local town, and his son hosting a cookery demonstration. Bill always gives 100 percent never thinking of himself. He had a new heart valve 10 years ago, blood clots on his brain and problems with his small intestine. Yet he continues to help others. Bill helps out at his local caring centre. Up to a few years ago he drove the bus collecting and delivering for the centre. Bill's an ex-soldier and was intake 1 at RMA Sandhurst 1947 and served for 12 years including 18 months during the war in Korea. Bill hopes to be able to raise several pounds if he gets to be chosen, he has already spoken to various local businesses who will only be too pleased to help.
