Beth's nomination story

Beth was unanimously nominated as Citizen of the Year when in primary school, and has continued to be helpful and kind to those who need it. She is now 17 and has been a young leader for a Rainbow and Brownie troop since she was 14. In the past year she has also been a buddy and a helper in an English SEN class, helping 12 and 13 year olds learn to read and understand texts.

Last summer she helped supervise young children taking part in the Liverpool International Tennis tournament and provided the dance element of a local drama production. While working as a paper girl she also raised the alarm for a very sad event. Noticing that mail and milk had been left uncollected at a house she alerted the shop. They called the police and discovered the sad fact that the owner of the house had passed away.

Being 'nice' is an often underrated skill, but Beth has it in abundance, and everyone who meets her wish that they had it too.
