Ben suffered a devastating accident during speedboat racing which left him hospitalised for many months and it was believed that he would never walk and the doctors where uncertain of how mach brain damage he had suffered. Since 2009 Ben has being studying at the College initially doing a Level 2 Business and Administration Qualification followed by Level 2 Everything IT Diplomas and he will be progressing next year to the Diploma in Professional Competence. During this year Ben has taken an active role in the College, representing his Group and student body at Forum and Council meetings. He also took part in the Walk to Support charity event and helped motivate other students to participate as one of the charities was the one that helped him recover after his accident. Ben is a happy individual with a good out look on life, always positive and he tries to support his peers. His mobility has improved significantly over the last few years, but he may need some assistance depending on the time allowed. The distance itself would be no obstacle.
