Ben's nomination story

Ben is my son and my hero , He at 17 had cml (leaukemia)he had to have a bone marrow transplant , Before this he was with the british waterpolo team aiming to be part of the british team to representing britain in the Olympics ,Due to his treatment he lost 2 yrs training so has realisticly lost all chance of playing for the bristish team , Although he is still playing high level for Sheffield , and has since completed his degree and is currently studying for his masters , he would be over the moon to carry the torch a short distance for britain , It may come as slight benefit and relief due to him not playing in the olympics . he will feel part of the movement , Competing in the olympics is my dream and my after treatment I was selected to swim for the Great Britain transplant team. In 2009 I went to the world transplant games in Australia and came home with 5 golds 1 silver and 1 bronze and 3world records
