Ben Osu

Ben is one of those young people that when you meet him you know you've met someone special. Not only has Ben worked since he was 11 in his community encouraging community spirit and sitting on the board for his local community centre he has also gone out of his way to bring new business and events to Liverpool. He was influential in bringing the Mobo's to Liverpool Echo Arena generating hype and money for the city that he loves so much.

Ben is an ambassador for young people, he makes you feel proud to come from Liverpool. In the recent riots Ben co-ordinated meetings with parents and young people to get them to stop rioting and make an action plan for the dangerous nights. Not content with his part in just running the meetings he walked the streets putting his own safety at risk to talk to young people and stop them destroying our city..

Working with 02 on their campaign to inspire young people I couldn't think of a better mentor. I met Ben when he joined up for a programme in order to enocourage young people to get involved with politics.

I cant really say much more than hes brilliant representation of our country and young people. A real inspiration.
