Benjamin's nomination story

Benji is a lovely boy who joined the school in September 2011. At first Benji was quite shy due to having dyslexia and a slight speech impediment; however over the last three months he has excelled in everything he has turned his hand too. He is a model pupil who constantly strives to do his best. . Friendship: Benji has been used as a Year 7 mentor within the school. Most recently he looked after two students who didn`t speak the English language, helping them in class and ensuring they felt happy throughout break and lunchtime. . Excellence: Benji has been recognised by every one of his single teachers for the effort that he puts in. He attends extra-curricular sport almost every night and has also represented the school in his out of hours learning. Although Benji has a slight speech impediment he has tried so hard to overcome it and now has even taken part in school presentations to parents.. Respect: Respect is an important part to Benji`s life, he understands the need to respect others and has always respected the views of both teachers and parents. He also works hard at home helping the family teach respect to his younger brother.
