Jean's nomination story

Jean has been a stalwart of our local swimming club, Calne Alpha Four ASC for many, many years. She has helped train speed swimmers and synchronised swimmers. She has helped many swimmers achieve their potential over the years. Her particular forte is helping novice swimmers and helping them develop ready for competition. She gives up evenings and weekends to act as course mum on training courses, and officiates at competitions, locally, regionally and nationally (if we do not supply officials for many local and regional events, the club is not allowed to enter swimmers). She has been secretary of the Wiltshire ASA synchronised swimming committee, and has organised both local and county competitions. She is also the Wiltshire representative on the South West region synchronised swimming competition. When my daughter died 5 years ago, she helped me recover by encouraging me to carry on with my interest in swimming. A past Wiltshire ASA President, she deserves further recognition for all she does and has done over the years.
