Barry Torrens

I am nominating my husband, Barry Torrens. He is a warm caring and loving man and a terrific father to our three children; Anna (9) Jenny(8) and William (6). We live in Portrush in County Antrim.

Barry is a successful self employed local businessman and is a great supporter of our local school, participating in many PTA events to raise money for Portrush primary school and also organising regular charity fundraising events for the RNLI in Portrush - a great cause which is dear to our hearts!

Barry has told me that he would be immensely proud and honoured to carry the olympic torch and he would love to represent this local area for a part of its journey in Northern Ireland. I hope that you can consider this application for Barry Torrens to participate in the torch bearing process.
