Barry Hughes

Barry is a founding member of the TrekToTheSky organisation (www.TrekToTheSky.org.uk), undertaking and organising charity events in efforts to raise £90,000 for three charities, two of which are local to Leeds (St Gemma`s Hospice and West Yorkshire MS Therapy Centre). In efforts to raise these funds Barry has spent weekends in supermarkets packing bags, organised and hosted 10 race nights, completed 9 Great North Runs and will be running again this year, two olympic length triathlons, ten pin bowling event, numerous charity car washes, organised and guided two National 3 Peaks Challenges and completed four overseas charity challenges inclunding Iceland 100km Trek, The Inca Trail, Mt Kilimanjaro and has recently summitted the 22,841ft Mt Aconcagua, his ultimate goal is to attempt Mt Everest in the next few years. Barry pays for all the expeditions and events he takes part in so that all funds raised go direct to the charities.
