Barnaby started playing tennis at the age of four after watching his brothers and sisters playing and wants to be a professional tennis player. At a very young age he was playing football for his local club side and ended up playing in a school team that were amongst the top sides in the country. However he just loved the 1 to 1 aspect of competing at tennis. He trained at Halton High Performance Club and progressed to playing for the Bucks County and then the Regional side [East]. He first went abroad playing tennis at the age of 8 as part of a squad without his parents and now has visited more than 10 countries as part of a club, or training, or for the full GB side. Barnaby won the U10 nationals in 2009 and was ranked No1 in Britain u12 in 2011. He played no.1 for Great Britain in the Summer cup in 2011 reaching the final out of 32 European nations, beating Holland, Belarus, Serbia, Ukraine and Italy before losing to Russia.
He is in the gym most mornings before 6.30am and trains 6 days per week. He loves all sport and tries to do his best at his academic work and homework too. [Occasionally he helps around the house and is trying to learn to cook !]
His nominators think he sets a great example to focus on your dreams and working hard to give you the best chance to make them happen. He wants to represent GB in the 2020-2024 Olympics wherever they will be !!
