Arthur Lawson

Arthur is a wheelchair user. He has a number of physical difficulties and also has Asperger's Syndrome. Despite this he is sociable and friendly and active in a number of sports both locally and nationally including swimming, boccia and wheelchair basketball. He is currently working with a number of other young people with disabilities to try to establish a powerchair football team in Scotland. He is an ambassador for the charity Whizz-Kidz having previously been the Scottish representative on the Kidz Board and he has just been appointed to represent Whizz-Kidz in the Scottish Youth Parliament. He works enthusiastically campaigning for disability rights and the equal representation of people with disabilities in the media. He gives his time to meeting and raising issues with politicians and media executives as well as representatives of national companies and to help fundraise and maintain the profile of the charity.
