Toni Chaplin-armer

Toni and I have been close friends for years and nobody was more surprised when in 2005 she announced she was giving up smoking. Not only did she do this but she took up running, and 9 marathons later she is just a true inspiration. She recently just passed her Coaching in Running Fitness and regularly encourages others to take up the sport and get fit. She spends all her spare time as team manager of the ladies team at the Border Harriers, but she always has time for her friends. I am a single mum and if ever I need a shoulder to cry on, or help with my son she is there. She is truly one of a kind and you will never meet a more considerate friend. She would never expect me to nominate her for this in a million years and she would be truly honoured to carry the flame. She inspires people to get up and do something and tries hard to make a difference in her local community. Please consider this wonderful lady and let her have her moment to shine.
