Anthony Trow

Anthony has a natural ability to reach people, particularly marginalised young people, who might otherwise be at risk of offending or substance misuse. As a volunteer he motivates people of all ages to get involved in football, boxing and aerobic exercise. He has given up evenings to coach young people in 5-a-side Football and delivers an exercise class to a group of ladies. He takes marginalised young people boxing (last year he engaged 9 young people and 4 adults), and he is a keen boxer who has recently turned professional. He is a positive role model willing to give time and effort to inspire and change lives. Young people not only look up to him in the sporting world, but also feel able to trust him with their personal issues. All this, in addition to full-time work in the community of Fernhill & Glenboi (Mountain Ash), plus a part-time job supporting a man with special needs.
