Ant Lewis

Ant had a stroke following a freak football accident in 2007.this left him, the former deputy editor of the Jersey Evening Post, unable to speak or understand language. Hisnright hand side was also severley affected. Despite these disabilities and prognosis Ant has learnt to converse and easily makes himself understood, and he has learnt to walk again, in fact last year he walked the Jersey marathon over 5 days, a tremendous effort for him, and he raised an incredible £25,000. I believe he deserves to take part in carrying the Olympic flame becaus of his fund raising efforts and his continual determination to carry on the fund raising and charity work he took great pleasure in organising before his so unfortunate accident. Ant also played a big part of the famous 'Side by Side' event following the tsunami.
