Tony Burt

Anthony (Tony) Burt first came to boxing at Southill Gym when he wasabout 13/14 years old then when he was about 16years after getting into trouble he returned boxing at Southill Gym and Jersey Leonis A.B.C. coached by the late Bert Turmel,and Brian Rousseau

he boxed as a junior and senior , near the end of his career after the death of Bert Turmel he moved to Pisces A.B.C. with Brian Rousseau thou still boxed on Jersey Leonis tournaments in his career he had about 120 contests . on his retirement from the ring he took up coaching with Pisces A.B.C.passing his coaching exams and A.B.A.

Judge Exams over the last 38 years he has been a credit to the sport of amateur boxing in the last 6 or 7 years he returned to Southill Gym and Jersey Leonis Amateur Boxing Club in his coaching capacity working along side Dave Thompson and Kevin Baudains developing the clubs boxers and traveling to U.K. championships and tournaments where needed giving up many weekends of his time for free.giving his time freeley 2 to 3 hours 3 to 4 days per week yearlyover the last 39 years and his traveled with many of the clubs young boxers to many U.K. tournaments
