Annie's nomination story

Annie became a sports leader at All Saints Academy, Plymouth in year 7. Between school years 7-9, she gave 100 hours of her time to events within the academy and its partner primary schools. In year 10 she signed up for the Step Into Sport Volunteer Passport and has already completed over 200 hours of volunteering and leadership. Recently Annie asked if she could start a Flames club in one of the local primary schools. This teaches an Olympic/Paralympic value each week alongside a health message to the children. Although under pressure from GCSE exams, Annie has volunteered to run this club after school and spends time planning, delivering and evaluating each session. An outstanding student- determined to overcome her own battle with Crohns Disease - Annie is a positive role model to all around her and I would love her to get the recognition she so deserves.
