Anne Dow

I have been involved with the Scout Association since 1993 and was a founding member of the Venture Scout division of the 11th Coventry Group. After becoming too old to be a member myself and my entire family maintain our involvement over the numerous levels of the group. we devote our personal time to organising and running numerous holidays and weekends both within the UK and Europe for the group. including annual ski trips, family camps attended by young and old alike, summer camps, overnight walks, London site seeing, theatre trips and many more. All of this provides the members with the opportunity to gain valuable new experiences from sports to practical and life skills outside their family and school lives. Additionally in the last six months I have been actively fundraising for the NSPCC, RNLI, RSPCA, Guide Dogs, McMillan, BHF, WDCS, Woodland Trust and Poppy Appeal. I like to think that I am assisting ini helping my local community, but also helping those charities further afield.
