Anna's nomination story

In 2006 I gave birth to premature triplets, born at 29 weeks and weighing only 2lbs at birth. For 4 months they fought for their lives in intensive care at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. It was a fight they won. As a way of thanking the medical system which saved the triplets' lives, we set up The 3 Little Miracles Fund, a charity to raise monies to purchase vital life saving neo-natal intensive care equipment. The charity has purchased £250,000 of equipment for the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and has since gone on to raise a further £100,000 to buy vital equipment for other hospitals around the UK. What started off as our way of thanking the hospital for saving our triplets' lives has now gone to be somewhat of a supertanker, something which we cannot nor do we want to turn off and the fundraising continues.
