Ann's nomination story

Ann works voluntarily at the Salvation Army and Mencap - she recently reduced her working hours so she can give back more to her community. Ann takes people with mental and physical illnesses out for days and invites them to her own home for a day out to break the monotony of life in a special needs accommodation. Ann drives the mini bus for the salvation army - driving pensioners to appointments i.e. hospital etc. She also helps in the shop and driving people to trips out and takes them to her home to make them a meal and gives them company they wouldn't get if it wasn't for her selflessness.

I think Ann is such a role model. I really feel inspired to give something back to my community after hearing her accounts of the deeds she has done - we should all take a leaf from Ann book and we would make our communities a better place to live together.
