Anita Newman

Over the past number of months Anita has battled gruelling chemotheraphy on the back of breast cancer with determination, gusto and good humour. Whilst most people would give up normally, Anita has don the opposite. Throughout the treatment she has inspired colleagues and friends with he rpositive attitude and committment to others. With a friend, Anita has been fundraising for Cancer Research. In July 2011, the 50 -strong band of female musicians ( the 'March for Life' Band) completed a challenging march from Plymouth to Somerset, raising much valued funds. Her story has also inspired colleagues to start their own fund raising activities, including a recent cycle run for MacMillians. Anita has been an inspiration for her colleagues at Ericsson and is a truly deserving Olympic Torch Bearer.
