Angharad Williams

By regularly helping handicapped and non-handicapped children to swim in her local area and volunteering for 'Sports Disability Wales'.I am studying for a degree in sport biomedicine and nutrition. I hope to become a GP referral professional which will enable me to prescribe exercise and a healthy lifestyle instead of medication and hospitalisation. Exercise and health is my passion and I give up a lot of my time volunteering at disabled swimming clubs and sport clubs in the community. I have a disability myself Lymphoedema which I developed at 13 which is incurable chronic progressive swelling in my left leg and side. I hope that in the future there will be more recognition about the disease and I hope to be a role model and inspiration to those with the condition to prove that you can still lead a normal life and help others even with the condition.
