Angela Whiting

Angela volunteered to support our local Pre School in 2009 and was quickly drafted in to be Chair person. The Pre School is a charity, in 2009 the group opened three days a week and provided a playgroup. Angela has led the committee, working with Durham County Council to obtain free places for children aged 3 and over. The Pre School is now running five days a week and delivers excellent childcare to over 20 local children in a rural area. Angela has also been instrumental in obtaining significant funding from local charitable organisations to improve resources available for the children. The Pre School now provides employment for three people and is supported by a number of local volunteers. The Pre School is charitable organisation and Angela has dedicated hundreds of hours of her free time to making a great success of this project. Angela would be delighted to be part of 2012.
