I am nominating Angela Conibear to be a London 2012 Torch Bearer as she is an amazing and truly inspirational person. Angela has dedicated all of her time and energy to raising money for a charity giving wishes to terminally ill children. She selflessly set about demanding tasks, which were physically and emotionally challenging, to raise substantial amounts of money. In 2007, Angela embarked upon her first mammoth adventure; cycling Lands End to John O'Groats. Since that initial challenge, Angela has pushed herself to extreme lengths to raise money. She has climbed to Everest Base Camp, ran the London marathon and created the Ivanhoe Way Challenge - a 35 mile walk, which has attracted 110 entrants in three years. She is now hoping to row a marathon, which she has inspired me to get involved with! Angela has raised over £25,000 and shows no sign of stopping. I could say that Angela is an ordinary person trying to make a difference, but she is far from ordinary. Angela is the most extraordinary, determined and generous person I have ever met. I cannot think of anyone more deserving to be a Torch Bearer than my best friend and inspiration, Angela Conibear.
