Andrew Slack

Andrew has severe learning difficulties as well as some physical and health problems. He has been an active member of the No Limits Sports Club for children and young adults with special needs for many years and regularly takes part in challenging outdoor activities. About 6 years ago he took up the disabled sport of Boccia and in this short time he has become a very keen and skilled player winning many competitions. In 2009 he won both the Scottish Senior & English Junior titles for people with learning difficulties. His best achievements however came in the Special Olympics in Leicester in 2009 where he won individual Gold and team Bronze medals for his category. I believe that as a 'fellow Olympian' it would be a wonderful honour for him to be a torchbearer in the main Olympic torch relay.
