Drew Nelson

Andrew Nelson is the honorary chairman of the River Bann and Lough Neagh Association. He is a tireless worker to promote Lough Neagh, its islands and shoreline. Although now retired, he gives generously of his time to assist the Project manager of Ram's Island helping to ferry children, senior citizens and 'special' adults in the boat the Island Warrior. At weekends he has helped organise litter lifts and when no one else is available takes the boat to the island to ensure the birds and wild life are fed. Andrew helps everyone, he has a warm affable personality that others warm to and devotes so much of his life to helping others. He is the sort of person who would push others forward preferring to remain in the background. Andrew deserves recognition for what he does to ensure others have a better and more fulfilling life.
