Andrew Doyle

Andrew, who has a learning disability, has spent the last two years campaigning to make elections more accessible to people who are being excluded from voting due to disability, age and language. Andrew has given up a huge amount of his time to work on a European project that is aiming to show politicians how elections can be made more accessible. He has spoken about the issue at many events, often to large audiences. Andrew is also a member of ENABLE, Scotland`s local self advocacy group, ACE and is an active member of ENABLE Scotland`s local Annan branch. Andrew also serves on the charity`s Scottish Council. Andrew is a valued member of The Scottish Government`s The Same As You? Implementation Group and in 2007 he received an MBE for his contribution to this project.
