Andrew Brodie

Andrew is the Group Manager at Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. He has worked for the Fire Service for over 20 years and is a keen and active member of the Kendal community. As well as his commitment to his work he actively encourages the fire fighters to get involved in local projects and to raise money for charity. Last year Andrew organised and motivated a large number of the Kendal locality fire fighters and staff to grow moustaches and seek sponsor ship for the Movember charity. The initiative was a great success with prizes being secured from local businesses for those raising the most money. Collectively the Kendal Locality was proud to donate just shy of £10,000. Through Andrew`s hard work, the efforts of the fire fighters and staff were reported on the local radio and newspaper. This year Andrew is working closely with Cancer Care to encourage fire fighters to get involved with their Fire Walk charity event. They are hoping the equal the success of Movember and donate all money raised to Cancer Care. Andrew is a very motivated and driven individual who is always going that extra mile to ensure he delivers the best to any project he is committed. He is would be very suitable to represent all the Fire fighters who risk so much daily to keep us protected.
