It was Amy's ability that led to her being chosen for her School's first girls rugby team but it was her infectious enthusiasm and leadership that led the team to the final of the event at Worcester Warriors in 2011 at their first attempt. These traits have proved a constant inspiration as has her appetite for sport. Her collection of awards reflect this, representing achievements in Sprinting, Hurdles, Shot Putt, High & Long Jump, Cross Country, Relay, Net Ball, Cricket, Sculling & Rowing. Amy is working towards her Bronze D of E where her teacher has nick named her 'The Rilster' in recognition of her ability to motivate others using her innate talent, wit & enthusiasm. This ability was recognised by Stourport Athletics Club when her peers voted Amy Sports Personality of the Year 2010. It was also apparent when she was picked to coach a team of novices in Bewdley Rowing Club's 2011 Pub & Club event. With an average age of 50, Amy (15) had to win over their trust and develop their confidence so that they could overcome their nervousness and inexperience. This she did with style by getting her team (the eldest in the competition) to the semi finals of the event! Amy's ambition is to teach sport, she derives great satisfaction from helping others to achieve things they didn't believe possible. Amy knows that her studies are of equal importance, to a point that she has taken her English and ICT GCSEs a year early to ensure that nothing will stop her from achieving her goal.
