Amy-Claire is a dymatic and inspirational person and shines a ray of light into everyones life she touches. Amy-Claire has a undiagnsised progressive dergenerative desease, is in constant pain has had a number of operations,endured numerous tests and has to have monthly treatments. Last year Amy-Claire was told that she is pallative which was very upsetting and Amy has had to have counselling, though she is now taking life in its stride. Amy-Claire endeavours to live life to the full and through all she has to endure is a inspiration to others and lives her life to the full. Before Amy-Claires condition began to deterioate she was a very good swimmer. Amy-Claire was in the Welsh Disability swimming Squad, The British Talent Disability Swimming Squad and competed in the Nationals and held numerous records. However when she became ill she had to give all this up, it was the hardest thing Amy-Claire had to do. When she told everybody a large part of her life disappeared overnight. Amy-Claire attends Ty Hafan Hospice and with all her own difficulties helps raise money for the hospice, gives support to new young people who go to the hospice and inspires others to have a go and try new things
