Since he became disabled 3 years ago he has always sought out activities that will help promote Disability sports and encourage other people with disabilities to get involved with some form of activity whether it's for sport or recreation. His determination has allowed him to volunteer a big chunk of his free time to creating awareness around disability sports whilst taking part in fundraising events that not only raise money for the charity that he is involved with but to also show what can be achieved if you just try, the best example of this was earlier this year when he took part in the London Half Marathon in his wheelchair and he managed to inspire a small team of 15 people to join him in his challenge. Amar received a Volunteering England Gold Award for his participation in community volunteering at the London Met University Student Awards.
