Amanda Rice

Where do I start...Amanda Rice has grown up and lived in Dungannon all her life ..I don't think I have met someone who pushes themselves so hard in order to try and achieve their dreams. Over 10 years ago Amanda was in a near fatal car crash in which she was seriously injured and bed ridden for 6 months, She lost all the feeling in her left hand side, fractured her sternum , and had cardic bruising to her heart and dislocated her right collor bone, Every day she pushed herself emotionally and physically to learn to walk properley again..If that wasnt enough, Amanda has also had to battle Ovarian cancer..thankfully a battle she has won!...All through this time she always kept her head up and never gave up..always kept pushing harder and harder...A few years ago Amanda started doing Kickboxing and musical forms..Something she soon fell in love with...She has since won numerous medals and awards and even took home bronze in her first ever world kickboxing championships representing Northern Ireland in 2009.She has recently become a National Title Holder after taking 1st place in both Musical Weapons and Open hand Forms. There is so much more I could say...If your looking for someone inspirational..she's your gal...small town girl , who dares to dream big..who gets knocked down..but gets up stronger every time. Represented Northern Ireland in the World Championships in 2010 not 2009. And I suffered from cervical cancer not ovarian cancer.
