Amanda Mcgechie

Amanda McGechie has been commited to raising funds for various charities both in and out of work.

Each of the charities Amanda has raised funds for has different requirements and needs - all will improve treatment of cancer sufferers and the care given to them and their familes.

Along with her husband, sister in law & brother in law they raised £10,000 for St Columbus Hospice in 1 year in memory of her father. This was done by organising various events such as race nights, ladies nights and auctions of footbal shirts. She also was a keen supporter of her husband and brother in-law watching in all weathers while they ran a number of marathons. Amanda was involved in ensuring they raised the maximum amount of sponsorship for each event possible.

She completed this years Shine Walk with another colleague and has raised £800 for Childrens cancer charities. Amanda has also been involved raising funds in name of her colleague who sadly pased away from breast cancer last year. this has included charity night, auction and charity cycle race.
