Amadou Bah

Amadou volunteers as the Chair of Barking and Dagenham's Children in Care Council - Skittlz who work tirelessly to improve the lives and experiences of children in care. Skittlz attitude is to 'never give up'; this holds so much heart, warmth and dedication. Many emotional journeys of discovery have been upsetting and confusing. 'When we understand what happens to us, or why something is happening,- it helps us to grow, and lessens the anger and upset that we cannot live with our families' - this is vocalised when communicating with others- their passion shows. Amadou provides invaluable support and leadership to the group, the commitment, dedication and tireless promotion to improve the lives of children and young people in care, has provided empowerment, knowledge and a voice for all. Amadou has supported legislative change and good practice on a National Level - including Shout Out 4 London and meetings with the Children's Minister.
