Alyson's nomination story

Alyson has worked with children who are on the Autistic Spectrum and have other associated communication /behavioural problems for a number of years. She could see no pathway for special needs children to access the sport of athlectics so following a very successful sports day organised soley by Alyson she set up a club at the centre which meets weekly and is attended by approximately 15 children from her school and other local education departments. During the school holidays she organising `day camps` where parents can leave their children in her care from 10am to 3pm where they mix with main stream children and have a wonderful day excersing, eating and having fun together. Being a part of the Olympic Torch Relay would go some of the way to give back the hundreds of hours she has given to hundreds of parents and children.
