Alicia Alcalde

I am a positive person, active, dynamic and full of initiative. I am the oldest of ten siblings and I am often and the voice of reason and conscience.

I like sport, the environment and help people because I am a lifeguard and volunteer of the Red Cross as well as serving as a youth leader. You could say I'm like an improvised aunt to them, as I don't have any children of my own, but I do have lots of nephews and nieces.

I worked in Manchester ten years ago, which was a very enriching and something I would repeat without hesitation. That is why I think it would be something amazing and a true honour to be one of the carriers of the Olympic Torch, because I think this opportunity presents itself once in a life and would fill me with satisfaction and pride to be part of THE STORY OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES LONDON 2012!
