Alice's nomination story

As a Young Ambassador, Alice had the idea of creating a Primary School Torch Relay to promote Olympic and Paralympics values. The torch, which Alice based on the 1948 Olympic Torch, passes between schools at interschool tournaments where the torch winning team must demonstrate an Olympic value. It encourages young students to live by the values, making sport more enjoyable, showing that there is more to sport than winning. Alice also leads a group of her peers aiming to raise awareness of and fundraise for education in poor countries. She created the HELP Campaign (HowEducationLiftsPoverty) including a competition for young students to work together to raise the most money. The campaign rose over £1300.The more Alice engages in leadership opportunities the more her confidence grows and she's so happy getting involved and watching that happiness spread through ideas which she brings to life.
