Alice's nomination story

Through BP's relationship with Bucksburn Academy, BP is proud to nominate Alice Booth. Alice arrived in S1 as a diligent but quiet pupil. Within days of arriving she embraced the opportunity of the Table Tennis Club. From the initial, tentative step there was no stopping her! She received coaching and her competitive streak blossomed, she honed her skills, her confidence grew and in S4 she was asked to represent Scotland at an international tournament for the Scottish Schools Table Tennis Association. She has taken this confidence further, volunteering to coach younger pupils in the Table Tennis Club. She is an excellent role model for girls who would not consider themselves, "sporty", encouraging and inspiring them to give opportunities a try. She has taken her enthusiasm and motivating skills into the classroom, assisting younger pupils of all abilities and supporting them through their challenges. Alice epitomises friendship, respect and excellence in all she does.
