Alex Mcneil

I have been employed by Nature Valley for 34 years. During that time I have held a number of positions predominantly in Finance and today I am Finance and Purchasing Manager. I have been a keen sportsman all my life. Whilst football has been my main interest as I ran a youth football club, I am also a keen ski-er and snowboarder. Over the years I have been a fundraiser for the charity SCOPE ( for people with cerebral palsy) raising over £3000 by ski-ing the daunting White Peaks Ski Challenge twice (ski-ing 24 mountains in 2 days). In 2010 at the age of 50, I ran my first marathon in New York raising over £4000 for Get Kids Going (a charity supplying sports wheelchairs for children and young adults). Since then I have completed half marathons in Aviemore, Edinburgh and the Great North Run. In October 2011, I ran my second marathon in Loch Ness Scotland.
